Snow Play
Build a snowman or igloo, go sledding, skiing or snowboarding, maybe make a snow angel or have a snow ball fight. Just going for a stroll together in the snowy environment will be an excellent bonding adventure, the two of you didn't know you needed!
Nutcracker
This date takes planning and a bit of money, but seeing the Nutcracker at your local theater is so much fun. Admire the ballet dancers and enjoy the melodic sounds of the symphony. If this isn't something the two of you normally do, give it a try. You never know what new experiences you may enjoy together.
Holiday Baking
Call up your moms or grandmas and grab those old family recipes. Baking together is a chance to share stories from your childhood. Talk about your favorite holiday baking memories and get intimate with sharing your emotions of those long passed. Make new treats and therefore your own traditions together. Make a list of classic Christmas goodies that neither of your families made and try out an online recipe!
Carriage Ride + Hot Cocoa
We have access to horse drawn carriages in our local downtown area. Reserve a ride and grab a cup of cocoa before setting off on a romantic winter ride. Not sure if you have a carriage service? Go for a drive instead, the hot chocolate is a must though!
See the Lights!
Find your nearest neighborhood light shows, or buy tickets to see a professional light show. Driving around seeing Christmas lights twinkle in the night is romantic and gives inspiration to be the light yourself, shining bright in this dark world. Pair this experience with some Christmas music and you've got yourself a fun winter date.
Winter Photoshoot
You could hire someone to take professional portraits of you and your love, or you can make gorgeous creations with your phones! Go out together and agree on a beautiful scenery. Grab a tripod and set your camera on a timer and capture a snow ball fight, kisses under the mistletoe or posed photos. These don't have to be shared to social media, but maybe print them out and start making a photo album, or maybe you captured some great shots that you'd like to frame them in your home.
