It's Fall Y'all! And that opens up new chances for date night! Whether you like exploring your community or are more of a stay-at-home couple, these date night ideas are perfect for the coziest time of the year.
Orchard
Apple picking, cider and donuts, these words are music to my ears! Tell me we're going to the orchard and I'll put on my favorite sweater, pull up my boots and run to the car as if someone just told me we're going to Disney!
I love our local orchard, they even have a cute farmer's market filled with pre-packaged baking mixes, gallon sized cider jugs and homemade jams! They also have a place to sit down and enjoy a cup of hot cider and donuts as well. There's nothing better than an Orchard date.
Maze
It is a-maze-ing how much bonding a couple does when walking through a maze. It could be made of haystacks or through a cornfield, but this date focuses on your ability to communicate and make decisions together. It's also fun to steal a few kisses in there as well! Hold hands, read the map together, some mazes have riddles that help you decipher which turn to make to get to the end!
Chris and I make the maze date an annual affair! We grab ice cream afterwards to treat ourselves for a job well done... of not getting lost in there!
Wine Tasting
Wine can be oh so sweet, or sometimes a little dry. I love tasting the different wines and choosing a favorite! It feels extra cozy in the Autumn, when you and your partner are huddled close in the wine cellar, twinkle lights around and it gives you something different to talk about.
After your tasting, pick a favorite or two and buy a bottle to bring back home. Every time you take a sip or see the bottle you chose together displayed, it serves as a fun reminder of your date and maybe will inspire you to try a new cellar or go back and do it all over again!
Pumpkin Picking
Head over to your local pumpkin patch/farm and pick out some pumpkins to turn into jack-o-lanterns. I also like picking out different colored pumpkins to decorate our doorstep.
Take this date even further, by turning it into a carving date. Chose your patterns and start creating your Halloween masterpiece! Afterwards you can roast the pumpkins seeds and sit together munching together as your jack-o-lanterns glow.
Comfy Cozy
I think Fall is the most romantic time of the year. It's very essence is c-o-z-y. Plan for a date-night in. If you have a fireplace, cuddle close to the fire wrapped in blankets and enjoy a simple dinner like soup. There's nothing cozier. You could also do a bonfire if you have access to a fire pit and look up at the stars, snuggled close.
What are you waiting for??? Start mapping out this season's date nights! Fall dates are the most fun, and there's no excuse for not cuddling this time of year, so go for it!

We do a lot of day dates, now that we have grown up children, and I only work 3 days a week and Andrew basically works from home , except weekends. Meijer Gardens is beautiful this time of year. If you don’t have a membership, I encourage you to get one, it will more than pay for itself, if you make sure to go as often as possible. Day dates are awesome. We also like to do weekend getaways here and there.
