Build a Better To-Do List: Tips and Tricks for Productivity Boosting

Last time we chatted about the usage of and distractions from our cell phones when it comes to being more productive during the day. It was a positive experiment and I said we'd come back every once in awhile to chat about and try new techniques to improve our productivities.

Whether you work from home/in the home or in office having a productive day feels rewarding, but can be challenging when so many things distract us or we don't have the proper tools in place.

In today's post we'll be looking at how we can build a better to-do list for our days and even our weeks to improve the desired productivity we aim for.

Lists of 25 items have a higher likelihood of not succeeding. I tried the 1-3-5 rule and chose 1 big thing to accomplish, 3 medium sized things to tackle and 5 small things to accomplish in a single day. Here's an example from my own schedule for 1 week:

*Relax Day*

There were a few other things that weren't on my lists that I still completed, but the 1-3-5 rule helped me to think of the 9 MOST crucial things, which was helpful for my busy brain! I hope you find the 1-3-5 rule to be as useful as I did and let me know how these productivity tips are helping you in your daily lives? I'd love to hear if you have any tips and tricks to share, so that I can try them out!
