Boost Your Immune System with This Easy DIY Immunity Shot Recipe

I could not stop getting sick! And something that usually helps are the premade immunity shots that you can find at the store. But they are so small and so expensive, especially when thinking of how little you actually get.


So I scoured the internet for a recipe that I could make on my own. I found a 5 ingredient Immunity Shot recipe and the rest is history:




INGREDIENTS:



  • 1 inch Turmeric Root

  • 1 inch Ginger Root

  • 1 teaspoon Coconut Oil

  • Black Pepper

  • 1 Navel or Valencia Oranges


INSTRUCTIONS:


  1. Peel ginger, turmeric and orange (make sure to remove the pith and seeds as well)

  2. Add to a blender with a little bit of water and blitz until smooth

  3. Pour into glasses and drink.






HEALTH BENEFITS:


Turmeric- contains a natural compound called curcumin which has anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidants which are excellent to be putting into an inflamed immune system!


Ginger- encourages efficient digestion from the natural component: gingerol. It is also filled with antioxidants, helping to repair cells in our body. It also helps with respiratory inflammation.



Oranges- filled with vitamin C, aids in hydration, anti-inflammatory, balances the pH of the body and is good for heart and digestive health.


Coconut Oil- possesses anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties as well as being filled with antioxidants and having anti-inflammatory effects.


Black Pepper- a detox for the body, rich in vitamin B helping the body produce red blood cells.
